  1. Hi Tom,

I wanted to share an XLR8 forward story with our leadership community. At RSC we are working on team building with our managers due to all the new faces and all the new challenges. Our team has chosen a level 2 storm issue of Team members resolve conflicts openly and honestly. By following the XLR8 stories and processes we had a breakthrough at our last managers meeting. The topic we where discussing was team leader reviews and expectations. This topic before our XLR8 work would have met silence and or taken a months worth of conversation. However, we where able to come to an agreement on the what, the how and the when during the meeting. We have a long way to go on our journey together, but we are off to a great start.

Thanks for helping us in our journey.

  2. Honesty and feedback are crutial to building a team. I see it every day as being so necessary for keeping the foundation of any relationship strong. Being able to share tough things is difficult - but if you create an environment that it is welcome and appreciated - doors will open for you 10 fold. Appology's and Thank you's are go a long way as well.

  3. Hello all,

Powerful, riveting, a must see! No, not the latest box office hit but “Ambition to Meaning, finding your life’s purpose”, with Dr. Wayne W Dryer. This is a wonderful movie that shares Dr. Dryer’s views on the purpose of life and the importance of service to others. What makes it unique is that he looks at 3 different people, theirs lives, careers and stage they are in life. He speaks opening and freely of Love, Spirituality and the importance of finding our calling. He covers Ego, and the negative effects it has, not only on us, but all of mankind. When we are motivated by Ego and attachments, we can never let go, to find our true purpose in life. When we feel that we can only trust ourselves, we are living a shallow, selfish life. We must trust and not compete with each other for all of us to be the best we can be. When we embrace this we can experience our “shift” to a higher place both personally and professionally.

Tom this would be a great addition to leadership week.
    Thanks for sharing
p.s how do you post something to get you name there? and not just anonymous!....stop laughing:)
